Apple Event Today!

Having recently joined the iPhone 3G community, I feel like I should share what my hopes, dreams, wants, needs are for today’s apple event. Mostly cuz i’m just a huge geek, and actually care about this shit (yeah, i’m crazy).

  1. Better battery life (iPhone 3g battery life SUCKS)
  2. Better Mail app
  3. Copy/Paste function
  4. Zoom on camera (using pinch)
  5. More customizable springboard
  6. Ability to delete default icons off the springboard
  7. Turn by Turn navigation using Google maps
  8. Walking directions using Google maps (currently available on their live site)

I know i’m a fan boy… Plz dont torment me!

Scotland - edinburgh

We played in Edinburgh Scotland last night at the Corn Exchange. A 1500 capacity venue partitioned off to about 1200 capacity. There were 1100 tickets sold.
We opened playing a very strong set - we seem to be playing tighter and more confidently as this tour goes on.. To be expected I guess. Xaivers set was amazing as always!
We made the decision to drive through the night to the next venue - from Edinburgh, all the way to south west England to a town called Falmouth… 9hr drive roughly. We left Scotland at about 1am, stopped at mcdonalds at 5am for breakfast, then stopped again at 6 to sleep for a few hours. I’m still in the car as I’m writing this - still about 45 mind till we get to the venue.
Things are going well, this tour continues to be an absolute success in my opinion, things have been running smoothly with minimal issues - opposed to how the previous tours have gone.

Belfast!

I’ve spent the last day in Belfast Ireland.. We took the bus up from Dublin, the bus was $75 cheaper than taking the train which only arrives an hour earlier.
From what I can tell, it doesn’t stop raining in Belfast. At least it hasn’t really since we’ve been here! Things seem wet and kind of depressing. I noticed people in the pub early in the evening, say around 6:30pm drinking liquer - on a Tuesday - not really something I’m used to seeing!
The show last night was great, we played to roughly 300 guests in a 500 capacity (I think) room. Xaivers set was great as always, it seems that he is very good at winning over even the harshest audience - I get the feeling that Belfast is a moderately rough city.
Today we’re driving back to Dublin to catch our flight to Edinburough. Were playing there tonight with Xaiver.

First Xaiver Rudd show - Dublin

Last night was the first of 5 xaiver rudd shows that we are going to be playing over the next week and a half. The show was at the Academy in Dublin Ireland. In my opinion, probably the most thought out and beautiful venue i’ve ever been to. Not overly large, 850 capacity.. But the sound was great, and the setup was amazing.
The show went really well, obviously Morgan and I were worried that nerves would be an issue, as were still a little inexperienced with this acoustic duo stuff - however, all things considered, we had a great response from the audience, during the performance and also - we made time to meet as many of the guests as we could, and got a lot of positive feedback.
Overall we felt like it was a very positive show. Looking foreward to tonight in Belfast!

Second show - another succesd

We played our second show lastnight in Southampton - our 4th time visiting there in the last 5 tours.. Turnout was good, and were really seeing now what the building process is all about, were seeing more and mor familliar faces out to shows - it’s quite refreshing to know that these people come out just to see you and hear you play.
Tonight is going to be our last of the smaller gigs - the last 5 shows are opening slots for Xaiver Rudd. These will probably be the highest profile gigs (3000-5000 sold out capacity venues) we have ever played.
