REBOOTED!

YES!
THIS SITE HAS BEEN REBOOTED!
So, going along with the May 1st CSS Reboot found at www.cssreboot.com I’ve redesigned my site in using standards compliant code, and style-sheets. Its pretty cool.. And I’m quite glad to be rid of the old site’s look.

There’s still a few tweaks coming, but yeah, it is what it is.

I Hate My RAZR

I hate this phone. Its so slow. Its so annoying. Its hard to control. Its SLOW.. IT BUGS THE SHIT OUT OF ME. I really need to get a phone that is as fast at displaying information as I’m used to. I knew I should have gone Nokia, at least they have updated their software in the last 3 years. The reason this has suddenly arose, is basically because i’ve decided that I need to clean up my phonebook in my phone. Its terribly out of whack: duplicate entries everywhere, wrong numbers, old numbers, unnecessary information. Its taken me about 10 minutes to delete 15 contacts that I don’t need in there (don’t even ask me how they got duplicated).

My next phone is probably gonna be a Nokia. And I suggest to anyone considering purchasing a RAZR, to stay away. It looks cool, yes. But after you use it for a couple months, and the “wow” factor goes away, you’ll wish you had gone with a better designed phone.

On the eve of my birth

So, tomorrow, is the day, I turn, 23. I’ve been on this planet for 23 years. Holy shit, i’m old. Seriously, thats old? its like, almost half way to 50. Jesus christ.

(this is me freaking out right now)

Looks like i’m going to spend most of tomorrow working. I’m probably gonna skip the gym in the morning. If I get some time in the afternoon, i’ll walk to 2nd Cup and grab an overly sugar-saturated caffinated drink, perhaps a cafe’ mocha, or something similiar, with an overwhelmingly sugary cake or cheesecake of some kind (i usually dont get any kind of sugary things from coffee shops).

Anyway, aside from my current financial situation, this year seems like it could be very exciting, probably the most exciting year of my life (thus far). Stay tuned?

THAT time of year

Yes, its that time of year.
Its starting to get warmer now, and the sun is out much earlier and goes to bed a lot later. This is a happy thing for me… actually, I bet I become a little more of an insomniac around this time of year, I can definitely agree that i’ve been experiencing a bit of a headache probably from staying up to late (rehearsal) and going out enjoying the cool air and the coming summer.

Birds of Wales are making quite the impression on people these days, heres a quick list:
Last friday we played probably one of our most exciting sets at the Horseshoe Tavern to a crowd of (I’m estimating) 200 people.
We found out this week that we’ve been accepted to NXNE (an art and music festival held in Toronto, much like SXSW).
We’ve been getting airplay on The Edge 102.1.
We’ve been getting airplay on XM Satellite Radio Channel #52.

Things are looking good I must say. Our official CD release party is scheduled for May 5th at Lee’s Palace. We’re expecting to sell it out. No Big Deal.

Birds of Wales On Blog|TO Podcast

Birds of Wales was featured on this week’s edition of their pod-cast known as “Toronto Independent Music Podcast“. I was trying to figure out their readership, or in the pod-cast’s case, their listenership(?) but couldn’t find that kind of information on their site. Nor did anyone I spoke to about finding out how many people are subscribed to a given blog or podcast. Its kind of a bummer that there’s pretty much no way of finding that information out.

Anyway, this is a pretty cool thing IMO, being featured. Makes me proud. Makes me think i’m doing something special. Makes me glad that i’m not in some punk or metal band.
