Macbook Pro Battery Recall

Today on Macrumors.com I see that Apple is recalling a bunch of batteries.. Sadly, my macbook is one of the effected machines… Click here to see if your macbook is also effected.

I guess the only thing that i’m worried about is that my Macbook Pro will die while i’m in the UK. It takes 5 days for the new battery to get shipped out, and I will have already left.. I guess a good thing is that i’m getting a new battery, so after using this one in the UK to its full capacity, I will get a fresh start. (good thing). Still, i’m a bit worried.

Whiskas Commercials

I’ve been seeing these commercials on tv for a few weeks now, and i’ve finally decided to post them up here because they’re just so damn hilarious.

Pixelpost 1.5 IS OUT!

My frinds at Pixelpost have released V1.5!

Pixelpost is what is running my photoblog at flashpunk.ca. It basically allows me to upload photos using a web admin and post information on the photos like ISO, shutter, aperture (using the EXIF info if its available), as well as post a little blurb about the photo. It runs on a templating system much like Wordpress or Expression engine, so the user can easily customize their site to look how they wish.

This is a huge release for them, adding many new features and creating a more reliable, easy to use, and easily customizable interface. Categories, spam protection, better RSS, comment moderation, and the back end looks a lot nicer too!

Check out Pixelpost if youre looking to start a photoblog!!

Flickr Photos

I’m hoping to be able to update this website more than regularly when i’m away to the UK for the next month, so I thought it would be fun to share some photos along the way as well.. I’ve set up a photostream through Flickr down at the bottom of the site. It will show the most recently uploaded photos that i’ve submitted to the site.

We still havent bought our tickets yet, we’re waitng for the price to drop ultra low, we’re looking for around 400-450 after taxes and charges and everything for the flights… I’ve seen it, and i’m expecting the flights to be down that low probably late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

One week to go

So the clock is ticking.
Our buttons have been ordered, they should be finished early this week (we’re going to introduce a 2nd design to see what kind of response we get from them). I guess I should get on all that stuff that i’ve been saying I need to do.. Like, oh, i dont know, buying my ticket!!! Looks like we’re going to be flying ZoomAirlines and going to be buying the tickets last minute to try and get the best deal possible.. It should cost us about $400-450 Canadian to fly there, and possibly a little bit more to come back. Not too horrible, its just about what we expected.

Expression Engine Cheat Sheet

So since i’ve gotten some attention from the WP Cheatsheet that I released last week, I think that i’m going to try and put together something similar for Expression Engine… Probably in the same format, simple, clean, easy to copy from. Look foreward to that!
