~time warp to 12 months ago~
Q - “What will you be doing in the fall of 2006 Mike?”
A - “oh, i dont know, maybe touring with my band in the UK for the 2nd time this year”
I’ve done more traveling this year than I have in my entire freaking life… Lets face it.. up until this year, i’ve only been on a plane 2 times (to Las Vegas and to Jamaica when i was in my early teens). By the end of 2006 I will have been to the UK 2 times, gone to Vancouver 2 times, and done a small weekend tour of the 401 corridor, hitting, london, windsor, and of course our home town Toronto.
Next year looks even busier. UK in Feb, which is supposedly supposed to be a huge tour that we will potentially be headlining. This will be backed by a management company called Invisible Hands who is a pretty big deal.. and Promoted by a company called “5th Element” (Morgan tells us that they do all the promotion for Oasis in the UK, NO BIG DEAL).
This band thing is getting bigger and bigger… If you had asked me last year what i’d be doing this fall, I certainly wouldn’t have said “oh, going to the UK to tour with my band AGAIN”… haha.. booyakasha!
So… here I go.. further down the hole… Literally, and financially, but worth every cent IMO…. I’ll probably have a horrible credit rating for the rest of my life and be eating macaroni and cheese for dinner for a couple years to come.. But at least i’ll have stories, and not regretting going balls out into this whole thing.
