As you probably know, Windows Vista is out.

I for one am not excited at all.. I couldn’t be less excited. Probably because I just dont care, I lost interest in the Windows operating system 5 years ago when I switched to Mac. But perhaps as a developer I should be a little bit excited since the new IE7 that will be bundled with Vista will be much easier to build for, and make my life a whole lot easier.

So anyway. Many people will be looking to buy new PC’s in the next little while, since Vista’s requirements are so damn high… I’ve been reading a bit from other blogs, and most people are saying that this is a perfect opportunity for apple to cash in, and perhaps snag a whole lot of (what would be) Windows users. Just speculation, but it wouldn’t suprise me if we saw a sudden price drop for mac mini’s and macbooks in the next little while. Think about it. A consumer comes into a store wanting to buy a new PC. The Pc sits there stale, and crappy looking, while the mac sits next to it shiny, white and beautiful with its elegant OS, promise of no Spyware or Adware and viruses… The icing on the cake might be a hundred dollars off one of these machines.

So, i feel horrible for neglecting to post this month. Maybe its cuz i’ve been kinda busy, maybe its becuase the first week and a half of January I was suffering with (what I thought) was strep throat, but turned out to be mono, or maybe i’m just lazy.

Either, way, here I am.

I’ve decided to avoid rev1 of the Apple iPhone. It seems like its going to fail. At least, it seems that way to me. Its not at all what I expected, and I believe that rev2 or even rev3 will be 10000x better than this first version of the product. I’m actually hoping it gets a little smaller as well.

The band is doing amazingly as usual. Jan was supposto have been spent doing pre production for our full legnth CD, but some money issues has stopped that from happening. We’re waiting to find out if we get a Factor grant to record the CD (in which case, i’ll be extatic), becuase that will pretty much reduce our cost to nothing. We’ve recently found out that one of our songs will be featured on two sepperate compolation CD’s that will be distributed in Europe, (Ireland, Germany, Sweden, UK, Spain). What does this mean? MORE TRAVELLING!

2007 feels huge. Huge. Bigger and better than 2006. Lets hope it doesn’t dissapoint!
